Andrew Shrout is the President of Bluefire Insurance. Andrew brings over 20 years of insurance carrier experience in Strategy, Product, and Operations, including an expertise in enterprise transformations, large-scale technology implementations, and reviving latent business units. He joined Bluefire in 2017 and focuses on building a best in class MGA with singular focus on growing profitable business. Prior to joining Bluefire, Andrew has held various leadership roles at leading P&C carriers including The Hartford, Allstate, and Fireman’s Fund. Most recently, he served as the Managing Director of the Contract Bind / Small Commercial unit at a commercial E&S carrier, leading the unit to restored profitability and relevance in the wholesale marketplace. Andrew holds a BS in Finance from Georgetown College and an MBA from the University of Colorado.

Donna DiBiaso, Senior Vice President and Head of Product Management for Bluefire, has spent her entire career in the insurance industry, mostly in the non-standard auto area. Donna has held executive positions with several large, regional carriers and has extensive actuarial and product management experience. She possesses strong technical skills that allow her to analyze Bluefire business in new and innovative ways. She brings expertise on the latest pricing techniques utilized in non-standard auto and the most recent trends in competitive analysis. Donna holds a B.S. degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Iowa.

Jamie Pooley is Senior Vice President, Head of Strategy at Bluefire Insurance. Jamie works with the executive leadership to set the overall strategy for Bluefire. He is responsible for managing the external capital partner relationships including reinsurers, carriers, and brokers. Jamie holds a B.A. in Economics and Politics and an M.A. in Middle East Economics and Politics, both from Exeter University in England. He began his career in London working for BMS Group, placing U.S. casualty business into Lloyd’s of London. He moved to Bermuda in 2011 to work for Kirkway International, a leading boutique reinsurance intermediary. There he specialized in placing U.S. casualty reinsurance into the Bermudan and international reinsurance markets. Jamie had been the reinsurance broker for Bluefire’s business in Texas, Georgia, and California prior to joining the team in 2018.

Jim Hessburg is Senior Vice President, Head of Claims at Bluefire’s nation-wide claims organization. He has 27 years of claims experience, having started as a claims adjuster at a national auto insurance carrier. He held progressively advancing roles throughout his career, leading claims operations in a number of states and demonstrating expertise in all facets of the claims process. In January 2019, Jim assumed leadership for all claims operations nation-wide.
